Well, here it is, late night TV and I’m flipping through the channels trying to find something good to watch.

As I’m surfing the tube, I notice a huge amount of weight loss infomercials. And you know what, most of them literally make me sick to my stomach.

Not because I despise TV, but because I can’t stand it when companies blatantly lie to unsuspecting consumers and make MILLIONS in the process doing it.

But as I continue to promote the truth about weight loss with my personal training business and my fitness website, the truth is muddled in the sea of confusion that’s created by companies throwing weight loss solutions at consumers 24/7.

The companies pushing these bogus products will continue to make millions as I continue to fight an uphill battle, trying to shed some light for people as to what it really takes to lose weight and get in shape.

Am I bitter that these companies are making millions?

Nope.

Am I bitter that they’re doing it at the expense of people who really are unsure of the best way to go about losing weight and getting their health back?

Absolutely.

I know firsthand what it really takes to lose a lot of weight and get in great shape.

And not once was it from an "Ab Stimulator Belt" you wear at work or from a "Fat-Loss Patch" you place on your arm.

Nor was it from a "Magic Juice Drink" you sip for 2 days straight while not eating another morsel of food.

And now that I think about it, it also wasn’t from Coral Calcium or Metabo-Super-Fat-Burning-and-Crime-Fighting Pills.

It sure wasn’t from an "Ab-Crunch-Whatever-You-Call-It", you know, the machine you use for 3 minutes while watching TV and are supposed to lose 20 pounds in a week.

But as I continue to watch these commercials like a deer caught in the headlights, I almost fall for the best marketing money can buy–the "pictures-never-lie" testimonials.

You know, the old "before and after" photos (as hard as I looked, I couldn’t see the airbrushing).

Hey, if it’s in a picture, its gotta be true!

And right before I catch myself reaching for the phone to order (chuckle, chuckle) I ask myself "Why is it these types of commercials clutter the TV mostly at night or on Saturday morning?"

Is that when the most gullible tend to watch a lot of these blatant lies and scam products being peddled to them?

Who knows, but Letterman is on and I need to change the channel before I get any sicker to my stomach.

Want to know what you can do to tighten the Derriere that only takes ten minutes out of your day? That’s what I thought. You can do these two simple exercises while you’re washing the dishes or watching TV!

I don’t care how old you are, or how soft you are, these two simple exercises will have your butt as hard as a rock in two to three months. After one month you will notice a change and so will your husband. ;0)

Let’s do some squats! Yes, you heard me, squats. The rest of this article will explain how to do the squats at anytime during the day, watching TV, washing the dishes, or even vacuuming the floor.

If you haven’t done any exercises in a while start out with only ten squats at a time for each exercise. After two weeks go ahead and work yourself up to fifteen or twenty squats. If you walk a lot now, go ahead and do fifteen squats. Later on in the day do another set of fifteen.

The first sets of squats are not only good for the derriere but also for the stomach, thighs, and other associated muscles. You’ll know which muscles I’m talking about after you do these squats.

A. Stand up, keep back straight, and suck in stomach, feet two inches apart.

B. Keep your back straight as possible; now bend your knees until you’re almost in a sitting position.

C. Do ten of these – later in the day or evening do ten more of these squats.

The next set of squats is not only good for the derriere but tightens up the inner thigh as well. The main thing to remember if you want a tight butt and inner thigh is you have to be consistent.

Do two sets a day for each squat exercise. That means four times a day. If you work all day, do them in the bathroom at work. Or you can do them at night before going to bed.

A. Stand up with good posture, keep back straight, suck in stomach, feet should be aligned with your shoulders.

B. Bend your knees until you’re almost sitting down, straighten up and hold in your butt and stomach muscles and count to ten. That was one squat.

C. Do ten of these squats – later on in the day or evening do ten more of these squats.

The two most important aspects to keep in mind when doing these two simple butt exercises is to keep good posture while squatting, and be consistent with your workout. Don’t think that you can do the squats a few times a week and that’s it. Although, a little exercise is better than none at all.

But we want to see quick results, so be consistent and do them twice each and everyday!

Doing these two squat exercises several times a day throughout the day will have your butt feeling and looking better than any other in the neighborhood. I do them several times during the day when I’m just standing in the kitchen cooking or briefly watching the news, or washing dishes.

After about three months you can work your way up to doing twenty or thirty squats at a time. Believe me ladies, you won’t be the only one enjoying the new look and feel.

The body stores fat as a source of energy, but an excess of fat in the body is not a healthy way of doing it. Sedentary activities where you do nothing more than to operate the remote control while watching TV cannot help you reduce fat by using that stored energy, especially if you are also snacking up while watching that movie. You will just have added fat through those fried snacks and will probably toss and turn the night to day wondering just how to get rid of your surplus weight and inches. You have probably noticed that extra flab around your waist, also known as love handles, and the way your tummy protrudes over your belt. You need to make all this go away for you to get back on your shape and will have to start working out regularly.

This is not as easy as you think about. It is going to take some of your time, a lot of effort and a focus to go in the right direction. To do all this you do not need to torture yourself and get into any difficult physical training routine. You must do that physical exercise to remove that extra flab around your waist in a manner that is pleasant and effective. Why not exercise in front of the TV, as this is the reason why you gain weight.

Start with aerobic exercises while watching TV. Aerobic exercises can burn fat if done vigorously and will also help you to lose weight. You can do it regularly to maintain the ideal weight. Interval training is the best form of doing aerobic exercises but may be a bit difficult to do in front of a TV set, though it is said that this way of exercising is the best wait to reduce fat and weight. Instead of watching a movie, switch to a channel showing aerobic exercises or put on that DVD that will have all those aerobic exercises very well explained and demonstrated.

The captain’s chair is the top on the list for abdominal exercises. Also try out the bicycle maneuver and the ball crunch. It is not necessary that you do all three but these exercises concentrate on the rectus abdominis and oblique muscular tissues and will ensure that you gain muscles around the abdomen. Continue to watch TV or that movie while doing the exercises but make sure that you do not lose the concentration needed for these exercises. While these exercises will help to build up those abdominal muscles by doing these exercises, it is not the ideal way to lose weight and inches around the tummy. For this, you need a workout plan and diet that is correct for this plan to lose weight.

Make sure that your diet is healthy. You can continue to snack while watching movies but be sure that the snacks are fibrous and healthy like some carrots or celery. Avoid those ice cream scoops and fried snacks while you do these workouts three times a day, and watch your favorite channel programs at the same time.

There has to be a definite resolution in your efforts to maintain good health. Working out during those aerobic exercises and making the flab around your waist to go away requires time and a lot of patience. Whatever you eat is absorbed by your body and is stored as fat if you are negligent about the food you eat. And as you grow older this weight becomes harder to lose and it is very necessary that working out should be a regular routine throughout your life. If you make this a part of your daily routine and eat the right food, you will see the effect when the fat drops off from your abdominal area. Maintain your health at all times and make sure that your body remains in the right condition as you would always like it to be.
