Ok! Here it is some simple solutions to your overweight condition. You no doubt have been eating and filling up on the wrong foods. Also you may have a history of many years of the wrong foods. Now you really want to do something about your eating habits. Here is a real life experience of one individual.

This man loves fried chicken and those "seasoned fries" and of course eaten with many soft drinks. These so called foods are so readily available in today’s world of fast foods. Well after years of savoring the fast food delicacies he developed many serious health problems. High blood pressure. High cholesterol count. Early signs of diabetes. Then to top it off Thyroid inflammation. Things were not good for this 40 year old man who was not overweight. This man also had a working job where he was physically active every day.

Aha! What was his problem? We can see here that you do not have to be overweight to experience health problems occurring from fast foods. Actually it is a misnomer to call fast foods, food. What fast foods do is fill the stomach. What about the quality of the so called food in its ability to feed the body nourishment? Aha! That is the crux of the problem – quality nourishing food for the body. OK let’s face it fast food is designed to taste good but it is not good for your body.

On a TV interview a fast food executive explained why they do not take the fat and salt out of their fast foods. He said "If we took out the fat and salt in our foods we would be out of business."

Hey doesn’t that tell you something? When I was growing up there were no fast food outlets. McDonalds, Burger King, etc. etc. did not exist. There were no drives up take out windows. There were diners where you could get breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals. The meals were cooked on the spot. Yes the days are different today. People ate primarily at home with the "home cooked meal". Families ate breakfast and dinner at home together. Wow! By-gone are those days. Those days are lessening and dwindling in our fast food and fast moving lives today.

Here is what I recommended for the man mentioned above. No more fried chicken, seasoned fries and soft drinks.

In the morning for breakfast get out the food blender and follow this recipe. Wash three apples. Remove the stem and bottom. Cut into sections place in the blender. [yes core, seeds and all in the blender with a little water] Add one banana. Add cinnamon, nutmeg and a shake or two of crushed red pepper. [yes crushed red pepper] Remember cinnamon, nutmeg and crushed red peppers are loaded with antioxidants and good for your body. Start the blender get the mix going. Add a little water if needed for blending. Add one whole egg.[yes the whole egg] Drop it in shell and all. Blend some more. Finally add a cup or more of old fashion whole oatmeal and blend.[do not use quick oats] Add more water or add milk to liquefy as needed. Drink it down. You will get three to four full glasses.

The man spoken of at the beginning of this article has incorporated this type of breakfast and after a year he has made much improvement. He no longer has high blood pressure. He no longer has high cholesterol. His thyroid is normal and he has wonderful restored health. He gave up his poor eating habits and enjoys healthy living without health worries.

Your overweight problems will also be vastly improved with the above suggestion for breakfast. Even further when you employ the Acai weight loss solution you will benefit very quickly.

A low-sodium diet is recommended for weight loss and general health. It prevents bloat from water retention and guards against many diseases. Choose fresh unprocessed food and use natural herbs, spices and other salt-free seasonings to enhance flavor.

One of the more effective ways to lose weight is to go on a low-sodium diet. This is because high sodium makes your body retain water, resulting in bloat and added pounds and inches. High sodium also increases your risk for hypertension and diseases of the heart, liver and kidney. On the other hand, a low-sodium diet not only eliminates all these but also makes food less tempting and protects you from over-indulging.

What is sodium and where is it found?

The mineral sodium occurs naturally in meat, fish, poultry, eggs, milk and cheese. It is also found in high amounts in salt, monosodium glutamate and many other seasonings. Processed food and fastfood are usually high in sodium. Even soda, as in soft drinks and baking soda, contains sodium.

The human body needs only a minimum of 250 milligrams of sodium per day and you should not exceed 2,400 milligrams or a teaspoon of salt a day. Since sodium already occurs in fresh unprocessed food, you ideally need not add salt to anything.

Of course, salt is added to flavor food and enhance its taste. Take note that we are referring to a low sodium diet here, and not a no-sodium diet. You need not totally remove salt from your diet. Just drastically minimize your use of salt and explore other ways to add flavor and taste.

You can perkup your food with natural herbs and spices, including fresh or powdered garlic, onion, ginger and pepper. The juice of lemons and limes and other citrus fruits have also been used for ages, as well as various types of vinegar. You can make up your own combinations or try commercial salt-free seasoning mixes for different types of food.

Sometimes, you cannot really tell from taste alone whether or not certain food contain high sodium. Many canned or frozen food are notorious for this. They may not seem too salty to your tastebuds but can actually make you exceed your daily limit with just a few servings. Always check food labels and opt for those with 140 milligrams of sodium or less per serving. Remember that you will be eating several meals a day and it adds up.

At home you can easily have control over how you prepare your food, but what happens when you eat out? Some restaurants will accommodate requests for special diets as long as you ask nicely when you order. Take note of such restaurants. They deserve your patronage and your body deserves the care.

For general health and well-being, the low-sodium diet is recommended. It will not only make you feel better, it will also make you look better with no undesirable side effects, except maybe having to spend for a wardrobe in smaller sizes.
