I want to lose weight and I’ve tried to exercise so many times but its just not for me. AT ALL! I’m in no hurry to lose an extreme amount of weight, i just want to know how to slim down without doing exercise. I’m thinking to do this for about 3 months. I just want to lose about 10-15 pounds. Not too much.

I have found that, most weight loss related problems boil down to one source: FOOD.
If you are not making progress, and your weight loss efforts have stalled, first, ensure that your weight training and aerobic exercises are being performed properly and consistently; then analyze your food intake.
Food is the biggest hurdle that most of us contend with in terms of getting into top shape. The reasons are many and complex.
Thus, if you are not achieving results, the first thing to do is to check your food intake. Are you eating the right amounts of the right foods at the right times? If you find that you are doing everything else right, and are still not making progress, the way to get back on the path to progress is to carefully analyze the type and amount of food you have been eating. Most likely, the problem is one of excess calories. Even if you are eating the best foods for your body, taking in more calories than you need causes you to accumulate fat.
If you find that you are eating properly, then check to see how well you are adhering to the exercise guidelines for your workout regimen. If you find you are not on track, adjust accordingly and continue on.
It is a physiological fact that, in order to lose fat, you must take in less calories than you use on a daily basis over a consistently long period of time. This is the only sure-fire way to guarantee steady and continual progress. But how do you go about analyzing if you are eating the correct number of calories for yourself?
Several things come into play…Planning is paramount of course. So you must plan your diet for each and every day. If you don’t there is a greater chance you will eat something not on your list of permitted foods to eat for the day. When you have a plan you are more likely to stick with it than a haphazard "I’ll just try and eat good today."
Along with this planning goes tracking. You must be able to know precisely how many calories you are putting into your body each and every day, and each and every meal. This sounds tedious I know, but it is essential to your success. You must make sure you keep on the course to maximum fat loss and lean muscle gain.
In almost every single instance where someone complained to me of their lack of progress I was able to trace it down to the simple fact they were taking in too many calories for the amount of energy they were using.
Here’s an example for those that have had a hard time losing fat to see that everyone truly can lose their body fat. Although this is an extreme example I use it to make a point.
Let’s say I were to take a man (or woman) who had the hardest time in the world losing fat (or weight) and suddenly and quickly took away ALL access to any food at all (but kept water intake plentiful) what do you think would happen? Would this person lose fat and weight? How long do you think without ANY access to food would it take for this person to drop body fat?
You and I both know that this person would lose body weight very rapidly. In fact they would eventually die due to the lack of food. What would this person’s body look like then? Probably very skinny with little fat on his/her body. The point I’m trying to make here is that there is a caloric level for everyone that if calories are lowered beneath, fat loss will start to occur. It’s inevitable and a physiological certainty.
Now of course I don’t advocate going without any type of food, as this is unhealthy and dangerous. However, how can you use the information from this example to help you achieve consistent and predictable fat loss?
You’ll be able to lose fat easily and consistently By PRECISELY controlling the calories going into your body EVERY SINGLE DAY and keeping those calories slightly less than you need to maintain your current body weight. There really is no magic here.
Now, you have to weigh every single solitary morsel that passes between your lips. You have to become religious about this. Over a 2-week time period you will have a really good estimate of how many calories your body needs to maintain itself. This is an important part of your success because we all tend to over-estimate our portion sizes. Failing to weigh your food will be an almost guaranteed ticket to failure. Yes, it’s a pain in the rear, but you’ll only have to do it for 12 weeks. Look at it as a small price to pay for the body you’ve always wanted.
At the end of 12 weeks you’ll have become so good at knowing what the correct portion sizes are for you that you’ll be able to estimate your portion sizes visually. This will help you maintain your weight loss and lead a healthy lifestyle.

If you have ever attempted to lose weight for aesthetic reasons of as part of a healthier lifestyle, then you are aware of how difficult it can be to accomplish and keep the weight off. As an Orange County Personal Trainer, I am here to encourage you to realize that many people have struggled with weight issues before you, and that you are not alone. There are a few key issues that you should keep in mind when attempting a weight loss program and these can help maximize your ability to lose weight and keep it off.
1. Eat breakfast!
Many people underestimate the importance of a nutritious breakfast to jump start your day. This habit will not only give you renewed energy in the morning, but will increase your metabolism early in the morning so you can get a jump start on your weight loss goals for that day. Since metabolism is higher in the morning naturally, you can eat and you will be more likely to burn it off quickly. Not only will you burn what you eat in the morning faster, but you will retain energy levels throughout the day and this will help protect you from intense cravings for un-healthy foods when lunch time rolls around.
2. Keep a food log.
If I were to ask you how you gained so much weight, would you be at a loss for words? Chances are you do not know how exactly you gained the unwanted weight you have right now because it accumulated over a period of time. In order to effectively address any problem, you must first understand it. The key to understanding your weight problem is by keeping a log of what you eat and how you feel before and after eating. When you do this, you will be able to see trends in the reasons and time you eat, and even your feelings and how they affect your eating habits. When you understand your surplus food intake, you can more effectively address it and make the changes required to lose weight.
3. Plan ahead.
One of the key attributes of an effective weight loss program is good planning. This means you know precisely what you will eat and your calorie goals for the day ahead of time. This will allow you to approach each meal intelligently and protect you from impulsive eating which can ruin your weight loss goals.
4. Remove highly desired Trigger foods.
Trigger foods are foods that are typically sweet, salty, or oily that you crave and tend to eat a lot of. You need an effective way to prevent binging on these foods in order to maintain your steady weight loss goals. One way is to remove them from your household, or if you must eat them, portion them and put them in a place where you will only have access to a given portion at a given time.
5. Create and apply a workout routine which includes both cardio and weight training.
Do not underestimate the effectiveness a properly applied strength and fitness regimen offers your weight loss goals. By building a regime you can stick to by scheduling it early in the morning and making it a habit, you will be making leaps and strides toward burning more fat and increasing your metabolism.
6. Stay focused.
Remember that only you control your body and what you put in it. No matter where you are now, with some discipline and steadiness, you will reap rewards you can see and measure. Never get discouraged, because your mind controls your body, so a sound mind leads to a sound body.
7. Adjust your social network.
You should be able to tell whom from amongst your acquaintance are positive and encourage you towards yours goals and those whom are negative whom wish to see you fail. Surrounding yourself by the people who will support and help you with kind words and sincere advice is a must.
8. Do not let the scale dictate your success.
When you want to make progress checks, do not rely only on the scale. Sometimes, especially with a properly applied strength training regimen, you will become healthier and leaner and fat will be replaced by muscle. So a scale is not always the most accurate measure of success. Try to limit your weigh-ins to once a week so you give your body time to make a measurable change.
9. Every bit of extra activity counts.
If you can add extra steps throughout your day by taking the stairs as opposed to the elevator, and parking at the far end of the lot and walking, you can make a measurable difference in the calories you burn and will steadily increase your cardiovascular health.
10. Never shop hungry.
Going grocery shopping while hungry is a surefire way to sabotage your efforts. Always plan precisely what you intend to buy before hand to help protect you from impulsive purchase of the foods you crave.

You hear about them all the time. Low carb diets this, low carb diets that. Every celebrity is on this diet and everyone you know at work, at school or anywhere is on this diet. Well, if that’s all they’re using, they’ve been on it for a while and they’re completely healthy, then they must not be following it completely or they’re lying!
Why? Because low carb diets, for a short period of time do work to help you lose weight, but only for a short period of time, like 2-3 weeks. But if you stick with low carb diets for a longer period of time, you’ll definitely be losing something other than weight and you’ll see negative side effects with your health.
Don’t get me wrong. There are plenty of foods out there that you should avoid, and most of them are very high in carbs. And these foods are great to avoid for just general health, not only just to lose weight.
But the other side of that coin is that carbohydrates are also a very necessary nutrient for your body to function properly. So a long term weight loss diet completely devoid of carbohydrates is not a good idea. A short one is fine since it’s pretty much like fasting for a few weeks, which won’t do much damage.
Here’s another fact that will show you how bad long term low carb diets are, outside of weight loss. There is a risk of osteoporosis for women from long term low carb diet use. Most low carb diets will tell you to increase the amounts of protein you eat.
Normally, that’s a great thing because one of the building blocks of your body is protein. But, like anything else, too much protein spells disaster. Excess protein from meat can leech calcium from your bones, which can increase the risk of osteoporosis. Why does your body do this? Because protein can cause acid build up in your blood and your body removes the calcium to balance out your blood.
Okay, so you say that’s a woman’s problem. Here’s one for both. Your brain uses about 20% of glucose from your body. Now, glucose is a simple sugar. Simple sugars are carbohydrates.
Get the connection? If you decrease the intake of carbohydrates from your diet, you are starving your brain of an important nutrient for healthy brain function. That’s definitely not something anyone wants, whether you’re trying to lose weight or not.
But specifically with weight loss, low carb diets stop working if you use them over a long period of time because at that point you won’t be losing weight or fat. At that point, you’ve already lost most, if not all, of the fat stores in your body. The reason low carb diets work so great in the beginning is because your body is using up the fat stores in your body since you aren’t eating carbs, which provide energy to your body.
So naturally, your body uses up your fat stores. But once those are gone, your body turns to muscles and body tissue. So clearly, you are not losing fat at that point, which is what you would want. You’ll be losing the parts of you that are helpful to real weight loss. Carbs are sources of energy for your body so after the initial 2-3 weeks of the low carb diet, re-introduce healthy carbs to your body and you will be in good shape and on the path to healthy weight loss.

Ads for quick natural weight loss pills might make you think that you can lose 30 or 40 pounds of fat in a very short time. Always be skeptical about these kinds of dramatic claims. Remember the old saying – if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
But, don’t be disappointed, you can lose pounds of fat and probably a lot faster than you thought. Here’s how.
Don’t Diet!
Low calorie diets are the worst things for your metabolism and your health. They will not help you achieve your long-term goals. They will only work against you.
Extremely low fat diets may work initially, but if you try to stick with that type of eating plan for an extended period of time, your body will rebel. It will refuse to burn your fat stores, because it believes that there is some outside reason for this lack of fat in your diet.
For example, if we still lived in caves, during the winter, our diets would be very lean. The body is trained to respond by burning less of your fat stores and slowing down your metabolism.
The Atkins diet promised quick natural weight loss by restricting your carbohydrate intake. The diet is not nutritionally sound and very bad for your health, in the long-run. Balanced diets are the right choice. About 30% of your daily caloric intake should come from fat.
Exercise
If you are physically able, you need to move around more. You also need to do strength building exercises. Building muscle turns your body into a fat burning machine. You may want quick natural weight loss, but you want the pounds lost to be fat, not muscle or water, unless you have a tendency to retain fluid.
Eat a Big Breakfast
When you wake up in the morning, drink a big glass of purified water and eat a big breakfast. Eat eggs that you cook yourself or baked chicken breasts, no bacon or sausage. If you are a vegetarian, you need to strive to get more protein in your diet, with soy or tofu and protein should be included in every meal or snack. Avoid fast foods at all costs.
Eating a big breakfast will help you achieve quick natural weight loss, because it turns "on" your metabolic functions. It’s kind of like warming up the engine of a car.
Cleanse Your Inner Body
Toxins, parasites and yeast are big problems that nobody talks about. If your digestive system is not functioning properly, your body cannot absorb nutrients from the foods that you eat. You may laugh at the idea of fat people being malnourished, but that’s one of their biggest problems.
People think that being infected with a tapeworm will make you lose weight. If you have little or no food available, as you would if you lived in a third world country, you would lose weight.
But, one of the symptoms of tape-worm infection is long-standing obesity. De-worming your body may be the secret quick natural weight loss tip that you need most.

Imagine looking in a mirror 10 years from now. What will you see, how will you feel? Will you have the mental and physical where with all to take pleasure in you your family and friends?
You know and understand how important it is to eat healthy foods, such as whole grains, fruits and vegetables. You have heard over and over the importance of getting regular, energetic exercise. Of course you may already be eating the proper foods and getting some exercise – but is it really enough?
There are a number of reasons to get into shape. However, continuing to have the incentive and enthusiasm to lose the weight over an extended period of time can be extremely difficult. Being aware of the reality will increase your incentive to lose weight every day. Keep in mind the following 5 incentives to lose weight:
Incentive to lose weight Tip #1 – Longer Life
The truth has been found out. People have longer lives when they are in shape. This is fantastic news, particularly for those that are having a difficult time getting rid of every little bit unwelcome weight. It’s the inactive way of life hurts you more than anything.
It doesn’t matter if you are in shape, not in shape or even extremely overweight, even the slightest of changes can make a difference. Simply adding foods that are healthier and more physical activity such as a short walk after dinner can change your life.
Incentive to lose weight Tip #2 – Keep Your Mind in Shape
Believe it or not it is possible that physical activity is the key to keeping your mind young. Truth be told, how quick witted you continue to be as you age is related to your level of activity.
In the 1932 Scottish Mental Survey, 460 women and men were tested both mentally and physically at the age 11 and then again at 79. The ones that tested with the higher fitness scores were more probable to score likewise on the mental skills test at both ages. Basically, the better physical shape they were in old age, the better their mental sharpness.
Being physically fit is a significant part of your mental development at any age.
Incentive to lose weight Tip #3 – Push Depression out the Door
Have you ever thought about why depression is regarded as a medical condition? It is not only feelings of extreme sadness. Depression is the product of having a chemical imbalance in brain so the signals aren’t delivered correctly between the nerve cells. This makes a person feel sad.
Doctors are also aware that there is link connecting depression and obesity. So if you have one there is a good chance that you have the other.
You can fight the imbalanced chemicals by remaining active. By having a active lifestyle, working out, walking, bike riding etc, your body produces "feel-good" chemicals called such as endorphins and serotonin.
Getting into shape is a fantastic way to get rid of the sadness naturally.
Incentive to lose weight Tip #4 – Stress Relief
When you have tough times and worried stress is the way your body naturally combats in order to protect itself. Your body produces chemicals that will get you ready to fight or run when you are experiencing a stressful situation.
Some stress is essential. However if you do not let your body rid itself of the excess chemicals then stress can cause damage over extended periods of time.
Your body reaction to stress is to slow down the digestion process. This causes a chain reaction where there is more sugar and fat released into your blood stream for fuel then other chemicals are released to help your blood to clot, raise your heart rate, increased breathing, perspiring and then your muscles tense up.
When you work out you are helping your body to relax and recover from that adrenaline rush.
Incentive to lose weight Tip #5 – Increase Energy
If you purchased a new auto, and the dealer told you to only use premium gasoline because it would make the car run better and many years would you do it? Probably so.
So why is it you don’t take care of your body like this?
Your body needs fuel, so you feed it and get exercise because that is what it needs to operate. Your physician tells you that in order to avoid problems you need to get in shape and eat healthier. So if you are abusing your body today hoping that it will be fine in the future, then you may be running on unleaded fuel.
Then before you know it our body is wearing out. You find it hard to do simple things, such as walk up a set of stairs or pick up your grandchildren.
You need to reach for the premium fuel now! It is true that it cost you more financially, however there is an even higher cost when you realize how well you’ll be able to perform in the years to come.
Being able to have a long and healthy life with your family and friends is invaluable. They’re worth it – so are you!
These are 5 life-altering reasons to get into shape.
Are you sitting in your favorite chair only thinking about it? Keep in mind that being in shape is a lifetime commitment and it doesn’t have to be difficult.
Think about adding some incentives to lose weight books and takes to your arsenal. Alter your way of thinking and you can achieve your goals.
Incentive and losing weight can work together to save a life – Yours!
Here is a quote that will help with your incentive to lose weight.

Are you interested in losing weight? If you are, are you looking for a rapid weight loss? Rapid weight loss, also commonly referred to as quick weight loss or fast weight loss, involves losing weight in a short period of time, often anywhere from two to seven days.
Each year, in the United States, hundreds of thousands of Americans are interested in rapidly losing weight. Many people wish to lose weight before an important event, like an upcoming vacation or a wedding. While it is defiantly possible to understand how you can want to lose weight quickly, namely as fast as possible, you need to proceed with caution. Although it is possible to lose weight, at least a little bit of it, in a relatively quick period of time, you should know that there are dangers associated with doing so.
One of the many dangers of rapid weight loss is some of the many measures that some people take. For instance, it is common to hear of individuals who have decided not to eat, while trying to achieve a rapid weight loss. Going without food, for even a short period of time, can be dangerous to your health. A better alternative is to cut back on the food that you do eat or to just make sure that it is healthy foods in which you are eating. By limiting your calories, you should be able to achieve at least a small weight loss in the time that you were looking to. It is just very important that you do eat.
In addition to eating healthy, another component of weight loss is exercise. Unfortunately, many individuals do not realize that it can take up to one week to notice the signs of exercise. With that in mind, the more weight you need to lose, the sooner it is that you may start seeing results. While exercise is a major component of losing weight, it is important that you do not overdo it, especially if you haven’t had a regular exercise plan. Running on the treadmill for three hours, instead of thirty minutes, may help reduce your calorie intake, but, at the same time, it may also land you in the hospital.
Another problem that is often associated with rapid weight loss is the taking of medications or other weight loss products. The good news is that many of these products do work and some are even safe, but you may not be able to tell what you are getting. If you are interested in using a weight loss product, like a diet pill or a cleanse, to help you lose weight, it is important that you do the proper amount of research first. This research may involve checking product reviews, to see if the product is effective, or speaking with a healthcare professional.
As you can see, it is important that you proceed with caution when trying to achieve rapid weight loss. Although unexpected events or appearances do popup, most individuals have at least a months worth of notice before attending a large event, like a wedding or even a vacation. As soon as you know about your upcoming event, you are advised to start trying to lose weight then, if you are interested in doing so. Rapid weight loss can be dangerous; therefore, you shouldn’t rely on it if possible.

When is comes to natural weight loss supplements, one must use caution since there is a great deal of misleading information circulating and available to the public. There are many advertisements promising, with exaggerated claims, that it is possible to lose fifteen pounds or more within a couple of weeks. Pharmaceutical products that are touted in these advertisements are usually loaded with synthetic properties and are not completely natural which can have, in some cases, serious side effects including heart palpitations and increased blood pressure.
Natural weight loss supplements blended with all natural herbs tend to help a person lose weight naturally over a safe period of time and have hardly any side effects if any at all if used properly. Not only do they work, but have been proven over hundreds of years before the advent of synthetic drugs. The Internet has given people a portal to acquire proper information about natural remedies both for weight loss and general wellness, using herbs that have been used for thousands of years by our ancestors. Education is key to proper health and wellness.
As stated above, education is the key to wellness, health and natural weight loss. It is also important to educate yourself before purchasing a natural weight loss supplement. First, always check the ingredients for all natural properties with no synthetic properties that will cause adverse side effects if used for a sustained period of time. Second, make sure to follow the instructions outlined on the label by the manufacturer. Third, always talk with your doctor before using natural weight loss supplements as your doctor knows your health status and will be able to make an informed decision about using natural weight loss supplements and possible allergic reactions or other problems.
Natural herbs have been used for thousands of years, especially in the Far East and Africa, as a traditional form of medicine. Our ancestors used these herbs to great effect over millennia with exceptional results. Herbal remedies can allow a person to lose weight without drastic measures, helping to burn fat naturally. Although, eating properly and reducing the amount of fat intake can help tremendously when used in conjunction with a natural weight loss supplement. Also, exercise can help boost weight loss and increase your stamina as well as increasing muscle tone, improving your overall appearance.
Natural weight loss does not have to be difficult, although it does require some adjustments in a lifestyle. It has been proven that it takes approximately twenty one days or three weeks to form a habit. By forcing yourself in the beginning, to adhere to a natural weight loss program, you will find after a few weeks the process becomes routine and habitual with wonderful results. Discipline and motivation are the key to weight loss and does require a bit of focus in the beginning. The end result is a leaner and slimmer body along with untold health benefits as well as increased self esteem.

The rise in the cases of obesity has started a flood of activity among researchers in finding the best solution to weight loss woes. Weight loss hypnosis is one of the most attractive and interesting methods of losing weight proposed as it signifies an easy solution to the problem of weight loss and control. Despite this, hypnosis is frequently misused by some unscrupulous entities who want to take advantage of people’s want and need for a fast and easy solution to lose weight.
There is an abundance of material available on the internet about losing weight with hypnosis. This method is being sold through audiotapes, books, videotapes, and seminar participations. Most, if not all, of these products and programs claim to be able to change an individual’s state of mind almost instantaneously, producing results in a very short period of time. Everyone should be mindful and vigilant about these types of claims as most are unfounded and fraudulent.
In spite of the bad media surrounding weight loss hypnosis, it has been found through a number of studies that hypnosis, when used with other behavioral management programs, can have a very positive effect on losing weight. Most behavioral programs used together with weight loss hypnosis are those designed to change an individual’s eating pattern. It was also seen that individuals who underwent a weight loss hypnosis and behavioral management program designed specifically for their needs lost more weight than individuals who underwent group therapy. This type of weight loss method has been found to be most effective for individuals who want to undergo a small amount of losing weight. It has also been found to be an effective way of maintaining and controlling weight.
Weight loss hypnosis, as with other types of hypnotic therapies, works mainly by increasing the individual’s receptiveness to suggestions that are presented to reinforce the loss of weight. This is done through a process of leading the individual into a state of heightened relaxation and suggestibility. Hypnosis can help people to in creating healthy patterns for long term food consumption as well as help in learning and using positive eating behaviors. The ability to help individuals through the aforementioned manners makes weight loss hypnosis an ideal supplement to other weight management programs.
The use of hypnosis for losing weight requires an extended period of time and substantial effort. People who claim otherwise are those that only intend to sell hypnosis to unfortunate individuals who easily fall prey to marketing hoopla. If by chance the lure of using hypnosis tapes is still great, keep in mind that these programs lack substantial scientific evidence that supports its success.
