One of the main problems that many people have when it comes to weight loss is finding the motivation to exercise on a regular basis. The thought of actually going out and exercising fills many with dread and so they become experts at coming up with excuses to why they cannot exercise.
"It’s too cold"
"It’s too hot"
"I don’t have the time"
"I’m not feeling well"
Now would you still come up with the same excuses if you knew that you would only have to exercise for thirty seconds?
PROBABLY NOT
When people are thinking about starting an exercise program of any description they very often start out with too big of a goal. They tell themselves that they are going to go out and exercise for at least thirty minutes, four times per week.
They then start out exercising and feel motivated but that motivation soon turns to dread especially when they tire and do not get that good feeling that others very often talk about. What can then happen is after a few days when they are meant to exercise again they come up with a list of reasons why they can’t do it. Does this sound familiar?
"I don’t want to over do it"
"I’m too tired"
"I’ll start again on Monday"
"I have a sore leg"
And being creatures of habit a pattern forms which can last for a lifetime. That is the reason why this thirty second exercise plan is just so effective.
Rather than having a big goal which at times may be difficult to follow through on because of commitments, you just have a much smaller which is easier to succeed at. This then builds your confidence and also helps to break many of those old habits of the past. You then become somebody who exercises on a regular basis as apposed to somebody who exercises and quits when the going gets tough.
At this point you are probably thinking that exercising for thirty seconds sounds fantastic but it’s not going to help me lose weight.
You are completely correct thinking that but what are the chances that after exercising for thirty seconds you just continue? Even if you did stop after just thirty seconds you can feel confident knowing that you still stuck to your goal of exercising on a regular basis.
One thing which is important is that you treat this plan just like you would if you were going to exercise for thirty minutes. Get your exercise kit on, put on your running shoes and then go and do it. So why don’t you make it your goal to exercise for just thirty seconds and discover just how easy it is to stick to this.

In this article I will reveal a secret to weight loss that will make it much easier.
It is not something you can see or touch.
It has nothing to do with your diet, exercise or any of the other “typical” information out there.
But studies and my own personal experience confirm that it works like gangbusters.
In FACT… many of the greatest “self help” masters swear this secret has magical power to transform your life!
So make sure you read every word of this article so you don’t miss out.
Before I share this secret to weight loss with you, allow me to ask you a rather odd question…
Who was the last person to give you a compliment?
- Was it your best friend? - Was it a family member?
- Or was it a total stranger?
What did they say that made you feel so good?
Now here is the key part…
Imagine if you had those feelings every second of every day?
- Every time you needed to exercise?
- Every time you needed to make an empowering food choice?
Study after study indicates that the motivation it would create has unsurpassed power to make your goals a reality.
I can tell you with absolute confidence that the single greatest reason people fail to lose weight is because they lack the motivation it takes to be consistent. Basically they allow negative feelings to run them off track.
Most people get excited when they first decide that they are going to lose weight. But that excitement soon vanishes when they find that the weight isn’t coming off as fast as they hoped.
The exciting part is…
Studies have shown that those who can maintain a constant excited about losing weight are far more likely to succeed.
This is why those who find a “buddy” or personal trainer who continuously offers validation have an almost unbelievable probability of losing all the weight they want!
The bottom line here is…
So much of losing weight is about staying motivated. Placing yourself in an environment in which you are getting constant positive feedback.
Too many people take this for granted.
People tend to focus on cutting calories or exercising… and that is all very good… but in my personal experience your inner emotions play a much larger role in how fast you actually lose weight.
This is why those who are continuously getting compliments from a personal trainer of a “buddy” tend to get far superior results.
The bottom line here is that you absolutely must find a way to stay excited.
Losing weight can be an emotional roller coaster. Some days you lose weight and some days you don’t, some days you want to eat a box of cookies and other days you are effortlessly following your plan with no obstacles in the way. Looking at the glass half full when it comes to weight loss isn’t always easy and can make losing weight even more difficult.
There are daily obstacles that you will come in contact with that are apart of being alive, and living life. Even when we logically know what we need to do to lose weight, we are faced with events that make managing our weight and where calorie deficits don’t always equal weight loss.
The stress that this causes can be a huge downside to losing weight, especially when we tend to eat more and store more fat when stress is involved. Your body reacts to stress by slowing your metabolism and increasing our cravings for high-fat and sugary foods that make sticking to your healthy eating program even more difficult.
The first thing you can do to manage your stress is to exercise, and secondly you have to change your perspective on weight loss. If your personal weight loss expectations are extremely high you are more likely to fail from stress alone. First, you must believe that you will lose weight. Once you accept that you can accomplish your goals you will believe you can accomplish them and once you believe you will start behaving in ways that make weight loss possible.
If you think like someone who looses weight and reaches goals, you will become that person too. Secondly, it is helpful to not put so much pressure on yourself with the day-to-day ups and downs on the scale. I know how tempting it is, to want to step on the scale every morning to see a weight loss. Weight loss is motivation, but what happens if you work really hard for a few days and you don’t see weight loss, or even worse, the scale goes up?
Will you stop trying to lose weight and call yourself a failure? Will you think weight loss is impossible and all your hard work is for nothing? The truth is, you will not always lose weight even if you are doing the right things. Gaining muscle, hormones, and body fluctuations all play a part in your weight on a daily and weekly basis. Keep this in mind and remind yourself that you will see weight loss only if you stick with your eating and exercise program.
Once you lower your expectations you will discover that being too hard on yourself will only keep you overweight. There may be days where you slip-up and eat too much, or you may even fall into a weight loss plateau, the most important lesson is to keep going, to keep moving forward. If you think that people who have been successful with weight loss got that way because they never slipped up or always had consistent weight losses, you are wrong. Life happens to them too, the only difference is, is that they know how to move forward.
Dieting has always been something that’s much easier for me to put off than to actually start. Whenever I finally convinced myself to make an effort to drop those extra 10 or 15 pounds, something inevitably came up that derailed my plans. It might have been a surprise birthday party for someone at the office, complete with cake, ice cream, and cookies, or it might have been a friend wanting to get together for pizza and beer to watch the big game on TV. Whatever the reason, it seemed that dieting always took a back seat to “real life.”
But then I got an invitation to my 10-year high school reunion and I knew that I had to lose weight fast. There was no way that I was going to let everyone see me in my current state. I wanted to look fabulous for the event, so for a bit of extra motivation I bought a great outfit that was a couple of sizes too small. I thought that seeing the outfit every time I wanted to reach for a snack would remind me of why I needed to lose weight fast. This worked great for about a week, but it soon became clear that I would need help in order to lose weight fast enough to hit my target by the time the reunion rolled around.
I had tried many of the over-the-counter diet aids available at my local drug stores, and since none of those worked for me in the past, I decided to take my search to the Internet this time. I discovered that there are numerous products and services out there designed to help people just like me lose weight fast. I spent a lot of time researching the various products and offers that I saw. Here’s some of what I learned.
It really is possible to lose weight fast, particularly when using some effective supplements and/or suppressants in addition to the right combination of diet and exercise. Obviously, dieting (consuming fewer calories each day) and exercising are entirely up to me. There’s not a single product out there that will force me to get on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day or make sure that I make healthy food choices at each meal. But there are products that can help me lose weight fast by boosting my metabolism or curbing my appetite.
Since there are so many dieting products available, it was a bit difficult for me to make a choice right off the bat. What I had to do first was read through some testimonials and reviews from other customers to see if the product in question actually did help them lose weight fast. I also wanted to limit my choices to all-natural supplements. While it was important to me to lose weight fast, I wasn’t about to sacrifice my health or risk addiction in order to do so.
I finally settled on a couple of products and was surprised by the results. I really was able to lose weight fast! I wore the stunning outfit I had picked out in advance and I had a wonderful time at my high school reunion.
Will I be able to maintain this slimmer look? Only time will tell. But at least now I know that whenever I need to lose weight fast, help is only a few mouse clicks away.
